Day 18: Stay Awesome!
What would get me out of bed at 5am, and down to Piccadilly Circus by 6:30? Something lazy, relaxing and gentle to start the day? Of course not: a bright, wide-awake workout from the lovely people at Project Awesome. I’m soon alternately crawling under legs and leap-frogging, or chasing a partner around the Eros statue. We’re shouting and cheering and hugging. Lots of hugging.
This is Monday-morning brought to you by positive energy, unicorns and pixie dust!
Project Awesome has a set home on Wednesdays and Fridays (The Scoop, by City Hall in London Bridge, and Primrose Hill / Regents Park running track, respectively, since you ask). But on Mondays it moves around, and Piccadilly Circus happens to be convenient for me. That’s right, 6:30am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, without fail, a bunch of crazy-happy (and crazy, happy) people descend upon various London locations to push themselves and encourage each other.
It’s a workout, but it’s certainly also play.
