Day 29: Hunting for ‘shrooms
I’m going to mainly let the images speak for themselves for this blog post. Basically, we went into Epping Forest for a mushroom hunt. It was raining (which apparently is something funghi love) – and late-October / early-November is supposed to be the perfect time to see our non-plant, non-animal friends.
There were, indeed, shrooms aplenty throughout the forest, and we followed the breadcrumbs along rotting matter to find as many and as varied as we could. We returned wet, cold, but delighted by the bountiful collection we’d seen.
