Day 41: From dance till dawn

The lovely folks over at Morning Gloryville sure know how to throw a party. In fact, they’re so confident of their ability to throw a party that they do them in the morning – 6am to 9am – and in a completely sober setting! It’s like an awesome night out of dancing, only better, a bit more bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and surrounded by the loveliest people to have around.

I managed to nab a ticket to their extra special event at The View from the Shard – which can definitely lay claim to being London’s highest ever rave!

As well as dancing to amazing DJs (including Basement Jaxx’s Felix Buxton) there was the opportunity for massage, yoga, smoothies, coffee, glittery face-painting, a trip to the Love Stop Café (no, me neither) and more. It was a strange space for a party – with a central stairwell allowing for 360 degree views of the city – but that made it perfect for walking around the outer square and seeing everything that was going on.

It was my first time using Facebook Live – and the less said about that the better (more work needed, Zuck!).

All in all I had an amazing morning, filled with joy, jumping, unicorns and rainbows. I’ll definitely be back. Especially if they make it into the sky again!

The other reason for the special party was that Morning Gloryville were launching their fantastic crowdfunding campaign – The Gloryville Effect – to bring the best bits of their experience to those that need it the most, in refugee camps, orphanages and areas suffering with poverty. Please help to fund them by donating or purchasing some of their amazing perks! (Disclaimer: I did some work helping out on the crowd-funder, but only because I really believe in it)

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. – Alan Watts
