Play Coaching for Parents

The importance of play for a child’s socialisation is well-documented in the psychological literature. Without an active play life in childhood, it’s possible for someone to grow up badly adjusted, and unable to navigate the complexities of the world at their best. Play with children of their own age is important, but so too is play with their parents.

I work sensitively with parents to help them bring their own sense of play to raising children. While it can be hard to face up to finding play a challenge, everyone can find activities that fit with their own style and personality, and which will help their children to light up with joy. You’ll be surprised at how much of a difference it will make to your child’s relationship with you – and everyone else.
